Veterans

You've served us, now let us serve you!

Modern Day Woman has a deep appreciation for veteran women especially since one of our MDW leaders served the military for over a decade. We know it’s hard enough to be a woman as women experience unique professional and personal challenges. However, our veteran women face many more challenges after leaving the military.

With your strength, perseverance, patriotism and unwavering dedication you have proudly served our great country and you are honored for that.

Joining and adjusting to military life is incomparable to leaving and re-entering the civilian life. When joining, there is comradery and a shared culture of cohesiveness and team dynamic. When re-entering the civilian life, you lose your comrades as you adjust to your knew way of life alone.

You shouldn’t be alone. That’s why MDW has a special veteran women’s initiative where we specialize in helping veteran women make a smooth transition from military career to a successful civilian career. We take a very personal approach with our veteran women’s initiative in hopes of gaining optimal results.

Our Services:

Career Consulting

  • Translating Military Career to Civilian Career

The first and most important thing we will do is help translate your military career and skills into civilian careers and skills. Then we will schedule a one-on-one career counseling session where we will help with resume building, high value identifiers, job-search strategy, how to build and use LinkedIn, interview skills, negotiation skills, and more.

  • Career Change

We work tirelessly to find virtual career opportunities for women so that they could have access to a diverse pool of career opportunities varying in industry and experience level. We understand that our veteran women may not want to work in the same or similar field as they did in the military. If you want to start your life afresh, we will guide you to a new career path through our one-on-one career consulting.

  • Going the Extra Mile

For veteran women we go the extra mile. We’ll check in with you quarterly to see how your coping with your new job and new lifestyle. This way we can identify and tackle any challenges at an early stage. Join our Veteran Women’s Initiative and contact us today for a personalized career consulting experience.
